Painting could be considered as Drawing with a vengeance. It certainly takes more time. There's so much to think about and most of it has nothing at all to do with what the subject IS. I admire and sometimes envy those who paint in oil, acrylic, or watercolor, but using pastels is for me like being given an extra dessert when no one's looking - the dessert's great, but the 'getting' is even better.
